Ethical

Can your existing supplier provide the address of their factory and the name of the Production Manger?  Can they take you there or arrange a Skype conference to show your items coming off the production line? We can.

Price Guarantee

Advance Design guarantees to beat any competitors’ written quote or tender by 5% on identical products.

Put simply, upon sighting a current quote (i.e. no older than 30 days), we will determine if the guarantee applies. If we are already cheaper overall, then no change applies. If a competitor’s price is cheaper, we will better it by 5% (after evaluating charges for freight, embroidery, printing, alteration or other component costs to ensure a like-for-like net cost comparison).

Creating a Workflow

Creating a new uniform from scratch can be a daunting exercise.  With so many opinions and needs, it is critical to have a clear workflow in place prior to starting out.  As an industry partner, our approach is to offer guidance for all facets of the workflow, from advising on the development of a working group, providing draft policy documents through to range planning, staff fittings and delivery of the finished product.  The flow chart and video we have created are yours to keep. If you would like an obligation free consultation, we are just a phone call or email away.

How to Save More than 30% per Annum

For an organization that is paying their staff a fixed uniform allowance, a significant opportunity to save money and enhance brand image awaits you.

As an example, an organisation with 100 staff that provides a weekly uniform allowance of $9.00 (say) has the potential to save more than $33,000 over a 2 year term by switching to a uniform allocation. If you have 300 staff, the saving is $100,000 and so on. This example assumes full-time employees for the purpose of the calculation.

Importantly, not only are you saving money, you are also controlling your image. With a set allocation of uniforms each year, your staff will look and feel fresher and your brand image is not compromised by worn or mismatching uniforms.

Similar savings are also possible with our indent planning and production options if you already have an allocation method in place.

Setting an Allocation & Budget

The purpose of this template is to allow you to model the financial impact of the various options available when choosing how to structure a uniform program.

To this end, you will need to make assumptions for key variables such as garment durability and cost.  As a general rule of thumb, we recommend the following standard as the minimum allocation.

Care Worker Standard Allocation

Employment      F/T        P/T       Casual

Uppers                  3             2             1
Lowers                  3             2             1
Jackets                  1             1              1

Cost *1             $350     $250    $150

*1 Cost is an annual estimate per person for each category.  Final cost is subject to final product selection.  The estimates provided are sufficient for the purpose of developing an initial cost estimate for your organisation.  Costs are plus GST.

Optimise Your Investment
cost-per-wear-large

When helping you develop a range we consider image, fit-for-purpose requirements and overall project cost. In optimising overall project cost, we careful consider durability and unit price, allowing us to arrive at a projected Cost Per Wear.  The example below demonstrates how the lowest cost item may become a liability to the program in terms of cost (not to mention image).

Choosing Fabrics

One of the most commonly asked questions in our business is “should I choose cotton or polyester”?  The question usually stems from a desire to keep staff cool and comfortable, or from feedback from within the organisation. In an interview recorded recently, we offer expert guidance on this controversial topic.

Included is a link to our white paper that explores the issue in greater detail. If you are facing the challenge of which fabric is best for you then this is a must read.

Building Your Range

The branding and design process is driven by the desired image an organisation is aiming to achieve, including the degree of role segmentation the uniform is responsible for communicating.  Garments also need to be “fit for for purpose”.  A field trial is a practical way to obtain staff feedback prior to rolling our a new range.  Field trials should be offered free of charge by your supplier.

To ensure there is no compromise in your primary brand colour, we are able to offer a custom-made solution. This bespoke option will match your requirements perfectly in terms of colour and style.

Managing Employee Entitlements

Using our Employee Management module, customers can set approval hierarchies as well as employee entitlements (based on role and hours worked) to ensure staff receive the correct item for their role and within agreed budget parameters.

All orders placed through our Employee Management system are individually packaged for employees, making it easy to hand out upon arrival.
